A banning from the Theology Online forum has given me more breathing space and a mite less anger. The forum is a cross-section of all that is worst in our lovely world. On one side we have the hardcore right wingers. On the other, gay communists. The gay communists argue with the righties and the righties argue with the gay communists. Then you have the agnostic and aetheists. Some are nice. One in particular is a right cock. A buddhist is the most sensible fella there. Now let me explain; being a gay, a communist, a rightie or whatever is immaterial. If you keep your views to yourself and don't lump shit on other people, anyone can think or believe what they want. To bring gayness back into it, I also believe that two consenting adults can do what they want. Putting this into the context of the forum is interesting. As one particular fella constantly bleats, he should be loved despite his homosexuality. The righties then, of course, fire vitriol at him. They say he should be killed as a practising homo as per the Old Testament Laws. He says things are different now. He has a relationship with God through Christ. They say that it is very wrong and he cannot be a Christian if he has bum sex (God, this is amusing). This goes on and on. And on.
Anyone with a certain amount of nous can see the real way to deal with this is somewhere down the middle, the grey area so to speak. If the commie gay guy wants to devote his life to God, he must give up himself. He should understand the need to make himself an empty vessel so as to be filled with the spirit of God.
On the other side of the fence are the righties. They need to adhere to the Greatest Commandment. Go find it if you want to know what it is. Use the tinterweb! Hatred is a very bad affair. Calling it righteous is even worse. Where is the middle-ground?
I'm not a typical Christian. In fact I'm not much of a Christian at all. I do believe though. Maybe not the same way as the run-of-the-mill protestant, but I believe. I KNOW that if you want to give up to something this big, it has to be entire. Mr Leftie Gay chap won't drop his life because he finds novelty value in how people perceive him. The righties won't drop their hate as they see it as being a divine right of theirs to be aggressive and even murderous in the name of their religion.
I can't associate with these people, and even though I swear, drink a few beers and live a life they would categorise as sinful, I can still look at their way of life and see that theirs is 'wronger' in many respects.
Onions are looking good by the way.

Good thoughts.
Though I'd love to know what you did to get banned :-)
pax et bonum
Well, I was arguing with right-wing folk and got angry at their fixed ideologies. Then, after swearing some more I begged a moderator to let me leave. The swine took a while and then let me go. He thought I was goading him. I REALLY wanted to go! Nice to hear from you by the way John ;)
