A firm is setting up on the island and will be roasting coffee for the mainland. What you may not know is that I roasted coffee for several years. I have forced myself into the company and it seems I may start roasting for a second tenure as early as April. Fucking amazing!

Visitied Tryweryn this weekend, returning to the mainland for the first time in many a month, and it troubled my heart. How can authorities rip away the livelihoods of families and businesses to supply water for a city in another country? It was very emotional to see a lake sat on top of what was once a proper community. The story of how a whole valley was flooded for the industry of a city in an adjoining nation is one that should be told time and time again, with special attention being paid to the fact that Wales, with its own history and language and culture, wasn't allowed to stop the process because the government - stand up Harold Macmillan - gave a COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER to prevent veto. I felt angry but didn't know where I could direct my feelings. If that Tory bastard Macmillan was here with me now I'd probably batter him. The biggest irony is that on the way to the position of Prime Minister the swine was made Minister for Housing in 1951! Well done Mr Macmillan, well done. More rankling again is that Henry Brooke, Minister for Welsh Affairs no less, gave his support as well.

I know a person who witnessed the lake drained and dry one long summer in the near past. People gathered to the banks of the lake and were able to walk down into the valley and then into the homes that had been drowned 30 years or so previous. That must have hurt.
