May bock Maibock May beer Germany and here. A little confused after last night's beer festival at the
Chapter Arts (although there's no mention of it on the website that I can see).I had several beers, one smoked, one sweet, another couple more traditional. Overall it was a great evening, but I can't remember getting home to the island from Cardiff. I came-to in full dress this morning with a mouth as dry as the Panzer Ale I was drinking last night, but no headache. I remember laughing faces that seemed to have been lifted straight out of Dante's
Inferno, twisted and demonic but so alive - so vital - in their debauchery. The punters were quite excited too, but steered clear of the monks for the rest of the night, fearful of our feral baying.
Today I may return to more familiar territory and imbibe a Reverend James or two with the Saturday papers, watching the end of season madness unfold in the football divisions of England. They do love their football!
Then there's the Celtic Cup Final between Llanelli Scarlets and Munster over in Dublin. If I'd planned for it, I could have sailed over for the match, but as it is I'll have to make do with the TV. One of the fellowship is definitely making the trip over though, so I wish Aled the best of luck.
